The Mission:

Our creative mission sounded simple until we got deep into research. The client wanted a new name at the first instance… a name that now embodied their heritage and their future, especially with appealing with a new North American customer base. A new product name and brand identity.

The Solution:

The strategic approach was to create a more indigenous identity and by extension a name that has grounded roots in a Nigerian culture. 

A more memorable name that also signals the end results our prospects will look forward to.

We came up with a few names, however, SEWA (meaning “make beautiful), stood out for us.  It had all the rationale to set a new path for the product.

The Solution:

We had to re-define this brand identity and personality before the name settled as the perfect fit.

We also performed a concept test to ensure we had a bull’s eye for the new birth. Created product packaging branding and expression for all the product line.

The Result:

A new and vibrant brand was born from the glory of its heritage. The product branding launched it into a premium brand category appealing to a new cluster of users in a different social economic class while retaining its existing customer base in Africa. Existing customers in Nigeria loved the transition and we rode on the feedback they shared about their love for the product to drive the entrant of this new identity.
